Well. These have been a long time coming, to say the least. They were supposed to be posted already during Toddler Month in July, but that didn’t happen for various reasons. At the time I thought it would be no big deal if I uploaded it in early or mid August instead… but then Nonni died. 😥 Nonni wasn’t just a dear friend, she was also one of my most faithful and frequent commenters and had been following this blog from the start. This upload was something I knew she would have liked (she loved the toddlers in game), and I had been greatly looking forward to getting her enthusiastic comments on it… so I needed some time to adjust to her being gone before I was emotionally ready to post it. (I always knew I was going to post it, though; my shelving it on her behalf would have been the last thing Nonni would have wanted.) Then, of course, I had to go on hiatus on a bit for health reasons… so yeah. Time passed.
But now they are finally here: Four rocking cribs for your littlest Simlets. For Nonni. ❤
This is the second part of my gifts for the for the 2016 Fishmas Advent Calendar at leefish.nl. This was fulfilling a gift from a certain Yeti: CEPs! 😀 The humble Yeti only wanted CEPs for the Luxiary King Armchair and the Sofa of Substance, but as I was making those, I realised there were several other sofas and armchairs, that only had one subset but really ought to have two… and since I was already in full CEP swing, I decided to do something about that. 😉 (I did look around first, though, to make sure nobody had made CEPs for them already – “nobody” meaning HafiseAzale and HugeLunatic, since they are my most trusted CEP makers. That’s why I didn’t make a CEP for e.g. the Futonesque Fantasy Sofa – Hafi already did that.)
The result was no less than seven CEPs: for the Luxiary King Armchair and the Sofa of Substance as per Yeti request, and also for the Contempto Good Livin’ Chair, the Blue Suede Chair, the Glassic Chair, the Satinistics Loveseat and the UNI Wornable Sofa (since that one’s basically the Sofa of Substance, only… worn).
(Yes, I know that’s not how you spell “extraordinary.” It’s a pun.)
And things like this would be why I said I’m “sort of” on hiatus. 😛
Over at MTS, the great Michelle made some wonderful LACK recols of the base-game “Get Up!” alarm clock. Well, sort of. This clock turned out not to be recolourable, so Michelle had to make a brand new, CC one in order to be able to recolour it. I loved her recols, of course, but I thought it was a real pity she had to go through all that trouble, and that someone really ought to make that poor, neglected alarm clock a CEP extra for future use. Then I thought that “someone” might as well be me. 😉
So, here is a CEP-extra for the base-game cheap alarm clock. Now it’s recolourable, and it also has two subsets instead of just the one.

At leefish.nl, there was recently a Secret Scuba event – you know, like Secret Santa, except you were scuba and scubee instead of santa and santee. We’re all fish of the same pond after all. 🙂 This is the second – and final – part of my gifts; the first one can be found here.
One of the things my scubee Jo wished for was a blacksmith’s crafting station for her medieval game, which made me squee with delight
because I am ever so slightly insane. So I promptly extracted the blacksmith’s anvil from TSM (and tweaked the textures a bit to make them look more TS2-y), cloned the OFB robot making station, and combined the two into a crafting station anvil where your medieval smiths can make… robots? Yeah, that didn’t make much sense to me, either – so I threw in some period-appropriate default replacements for the bots as well.
I’ve seen people on the ‘Net refer to this as a “default replacement station” quite a few times, so I want to stress that the anvil is NOT a default replacement for the robot crafting station, but a stand-alone object. Only the bots are default replacements – and they’re completely optional, you do not need them for the anvil to work.
I repeat: The anvil is NOT a default replacement for the robot crafting station! It is a stand-alone object!
Now, if we’re all clear on that. 😉 Since my scubee had all EPs installed and this was made for her, the anvil requires OFB and FT. I might make an OFB-only version later, but for now, you need both.
This is all George R. R. Martin’s fault. 😛 I’m currently re-reading A Song of Ice and Fire, and suddenly I realised I had to do something about the thinking caps in my Westeros ‘hood (that resides in an AnyGame that otherwise has been default replaced within an inch of its life). I mean, a lightbulb, really? A lightbulb?? Gods be good!
So I made some lightbulb-free default replacements.
